1. I recognize that there is only one true and living God who exists as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is worthy of all honor, praise and Glory as the one who made all things and holds all things together
Exodus 20:2-3 KJV
[2] I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. [3] Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Colossians 1:16-17 KJV
[16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
2. I recognize that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us. I believe that he came to destroy the works of the devil, and that He disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public display of them, having triumphed over them.
John 1:1,14 KJV
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth
Colossians 2:15 KJV
[15] And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
1 John 3:8 KJV
[8] He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
3. I believe that God demonstrated his love for me in that while I was still a sinner, Jesus Christ died for me. I believe that He has delivered me from the domain of darkness and transferred me to His kingdom, and in Him I have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Romans 5:8 KJV
[8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Colossians 1:13-14 KJV
[13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: [14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
4. I believe that I am now a child of God and that I am seated with Jesus Christ in the heavenly realms. I believe that I was saved by God through faith, and that it was a gift and not as a result of any works on my part.
Ephesians 2:6, 8-9 KJV
[6] And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
1 John 3:1-3 KJV
[1] Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. [2] Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. [3] And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
5. I choose to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. I put no confidence in the flesh, for the weapons of warfare are not of the flesh but are divinely powerful for the destruction of strongholds. I put on the whole armor of God. I resolve to stand firm in my faith and resist the evil one.
2 Corinthians 10:4 KJV
[4] (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Ephesians 6:11-20 KJV
[11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. [13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. [14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; [15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; [16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. [17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: [18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; [19] And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, [20] For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Philippians 3:3 KJV
[3] For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
6. I believe that apart from Jesus Christ I can do nothing, so I declare my complete dependance on Him. I choose to abide in Christ in order to bear much fruit and glorify my Father. I announce to satan that Jesus is my Lord. I reject any and all counterfeit gifts or works of satan in my life.
John 15:5, 8 KJV
[5] I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
[8] Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
1 Corinthians 12:3 KJV
[3] Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
7. I believe that the truth will set me free and that Jesus is the truth. If He sets me free, I will be free indeed. I recognize that walking in the light is the only path of true fellowship with God and man. Therefore I stand against all of satan’s deceptions by taking every thought captive in obedience to Christ Jesus. I declare that the Holy Bible is the only authoritative standard for truth and life.
John 8:32,36 KJV
[32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. [36] If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
John 14:6 KJV
[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV
[5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Timothy 3:15-17 KJV
[15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
8. I choose to present my body to God as a living and Holy sacrifice and the members of my body as instruments of righteousness. I choose to renew my mind by the living word of God in order that I may prove that the will of God is good, acceptable and perfect. I put off the old self with its evil practices and put on the new self. I declare myself to be a new creation in Christ Jesus.
Romans 6:13 KJV
[13] Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Romans 12:1-2 KJV
[1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
[17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Colossians 3:9-10 KJV
[9] Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; [10] And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.
9. By faith I choose to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that I can be guided into all truth. I choose to walk by the Holy Spirit so that I will not carry out the desires of the flesh.
John 16:13 KJV
[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Galatians 5:16 KJV
[16] This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Ephesians 5:18 KJV
[18] And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
10. I renounce all selfish goals and choose the ultimate goal of love. I choose to obey the two great commandments: to love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love my neighbor as myself.
Matthew 22:37-39 KJV
[37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
1 Timothy 1:5 KJV
[5] Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
11. I believe that the Lord Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth, and he is the head over all rule and authority. I am complete in him. I believe that Satan and his demons are subject to me in Jesus Christ because I am a member of Christ’s body. Therefore, I obey the command to submit to God and resist the devil, and I command Satan in the name of Jesus Christ to leave my presence.
Matthew 28:18 KJV
[18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Ephesians 1:19-23 KJV
[19] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, [20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, [21] Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: [22] And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, [23] Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Colossians 2:10 KJVS
[10] And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
James 4:7 KJV
[7] Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
